Higgsfield MCP

The adapter I wrote so an agent can call Higgsfield without spending money by accident.

VideoForge needed a grown-up handshake

By September 2026 VideoForge2 could plan a job and then trip over Higgsfield like a person who knows the shop but not the staff door. There is no public SDK that tells you which Unlimited models are free today. The website knows. A hardcoded list is a lie waiting for a Tuesday update.

I wanted an agent to call generate the way Claude calls a tool, and I wanted that call to die if the live page would have charged me. Playwright keeps one logged-in browser alive. MCP exposes auth, account, models, image, video, poll, cancel, download. Credentials sit in Keychain because I have pasted one too many keys into a dotenv file I later committed by muscle memory.

The UI is the source of truth, which is annoying and correct

On boot the server reads the entitlements from the page you would see if you sat down at the machine. If a model would show a credit price, generation is refused. I have tests for the boring parts and ruff for the rest. Outputs land in a folder per job so I can prove what happened when something looks cursed at 1am.

This is not a product you demo to your aunt. It is the piece that makes VideoForge2 honest. An integration engineer is someone who treats a website without an API as a contract anyway, and then writes the guardrail first.
